Pack shop?

What do you guys think of a pack shop?
Elijah had a good idea Here and I think it would be a good way to reward active members.

I wasn't originally planning on having a pack shop, partially because I don't know what things to put in it. However, now with a little bit of thought I was thinking we could have a stats system. You start off with a certain number of stats, say 20, and you can apply them to your wolf's strength, speed and stamina. The more stats you add to that area the better your wolf will be with that ability. My idea was that you could buy more stats in the shop.

Secondly, we could add second character slots to the shop, so if you wanted to make a new character, you would have to buy a character slot in order to make them.  

I want to hear your ideas on this!
Do you think we should have a shop? if so, what kinds of things should we put in it?

No, the stats wouldn't require coding. If you decide to buy them you would simply add the stats to your bio.

I definitely like the ideas, though it seems a lot of packs have that kind of stuff in their shop. I think we should still add all of those, but we should add something unique to the mix as well. That is why I was thinking the stat system.

Yeah, we do need an advertisements board, I was planning on doing that but forgot xD

I added a shop to the forum. Before I make the thread for it however I would like to figure out what the sites currency should be called. So far we have two suggestions which have been added to a poll at the top of this thread. The poll will be open until Wednesday September 30th. If ypu have anymore ideas feel free to share and I will add it to the poll.

What do you guys think about adding fantasy elements to the shop? I was thinking something along the lines of unrealistic markings and fur colors. Maybe even accessories such as necklaces, piercings, ect.

Or if you guys want something even more, such as elemental powers or extra growths (wings, horns, extra tails) I would definitely think about that. I personally love fantasy wolf rp's, though they do not seem to be active nowadays, which is why I made this pack realistic.

Though I think the first idea would not have much of an effect on the site, the second might, so I would have to put some thought into how it would work. I am also iffy about it, because of the fear of loosing members. Though I am definitely okay with it if the majority of you guys are.

You are able to activate a character sheet, these are pages on a person profile that is basically their characters bio. You can choose what information is visible on a thread (this is located beneath a persons profile picture) and what is only visible when someone is one that person character sheet. You can name the information so is this case, Stamina/Speed/Strength. You can also make it so only the admin can award these points.

How to locate the character sheet [when activated]

1) Go to your profile.


2) Click on 'Character sheet' (in this case mine is called 'Character Profile')


3) It will come up with a list of information that the admin has set in use for the user to fill out.




How to activate/create Character Sheets


1) Access the administration panel and go to modules (this option only appears on advanced)


2) the option you are looking for is just above the chatbox options. Click 'Fields Management'


3) It asks you to 'display the character sheets', click yes.


After clicking yes, the admin will be able to generate all of the members sheets by going on 'generate the sheets' and also edit them by going on 'character sheets'.

You can choose how many points everyone is allowed to have in general and once a member has brought one, the admin can add one onto their total making the bar move closer to the end.

Thanks Diamonique, I set up the stat system with this.

Do watch out! you will need to set all members sheets to 0/50 single handedly. This is unfortunate but once done, it will show the proper speed etc of each person and will be easier to handle when someone has brought a point.
